Finally, conservatives have one of their own to run against Jim Cooper. Tom Kovach is from right here in Mt. Juliet, and is also a nationally-known columnist. Cooper's 2004 GOP challenger, Scott Knapp, was, well ... I ended up voting for Jim Cooper, because he was the more conservative of the two. Not so this year.
