NCIS — deserving a Hart-felt salute??

The team that produces the hit TV series NCIS has outdone themselves. Is it possible that they have touched on a real-world case, and dropped a subtly brilliant clue?

Is it mere coincidence that the latest episode has so many parallels to the case of Natalie Wood’s death? You decide. Continue reading

Falling Skies — the plots thicken

The cable-TV series Falling Skies is the breakout hit of the summer. It promises to become the next big “water-cooler topic” of the television world. As it explores a fictional world that has been invaded by aliens from outer space, are there parallel lessons for our real-world situations? Yes! Falling Skies — a study in resistance … and more

In 1995, the movie “Braveheart” became one of the highest-rated movies in history. Part of its popularity came from the idea of popular resistance to political tyranny, and the parallels between the Scottish Rebellion and the modern American resistance to the Clinton regime. Now, the new TV series “Falling Skies” — produced by Clinton supporter Steven Spielberg — brings the resistance theme into the modern age. Hold that thought. More later about the show’s real-world implications. Continue reading
